Wagner Shootout (12/13/2024)

Last week, I went straight up too early and did not accelerate well. I was trying too hard and tensing myself up. Before the meet today, I set goals to commit to a longer acceleration phase and stay relaxed. Basically just trying to fix what I didn’t do well last time.

This time I kept my head down and accelerated better. I am happy that I executed the plan. I tried my very best to stay relaxed. However, I need more aggressiveness. I should try harder but not too hard to tighten up. And that’s the art of track and field—the timing or a sweet spot between being loose and tight.

I still lack speed, and have a lot of room to improve. I am learning how to sprint and looking forward to bringing this speed to set myself up for a bigger jump!
